Bottom line, I made a whole hip/biker bag using this punch for the stitch holes. If I had other projects that required 0.8mm or larger thread, I'd probably just invest in a set of larger-tined chisels to make life (much, much) easier, since my current sets of chisels are too small for that thread.That said, while it took a long while to punch each hole individually, the punch itself worked very well, and held up after several hundred punches. I was using a rubber pound-o board behind the leather to protect the hole punch.Still, a great tool to have in the arsenal, and you can't beat the price. Super satisfied, as it got me through the project, and still works well with no deformation. Definitely stop the end every so often.
