I bought these to replace the cutlery rivets on newer make Old Hickory knives. The cutlery rivets heads are 3/8" diameter as are these corby bolts so they fit well. While new Old Hickory knives are a great value the scale attachment leaves something to be desired. Generally I like to pop the scales off, and epoxy them back on using these Corby bolts. You will likely need to drill the holes in the tang a little larger but in my mind that means a stronger attachment.
